On October 7th, the opening show of Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week (DSFW) in Haarlem will be unlike anything the fashion industry has seen before. The Circle Club has brought together 20 companies and makers in 11 unique duos to take on the challenge of upcycling. For the very first time, their creations will come alive on the catwalk.A runway like never beforeBuilding a fashion show with so many partners is no small task. Under the creative leadership of DSFW founder Cecile Scheele and her professional team of choreographers, show builders, and make-up artists, with the generous support of Dr. Hauschka, the story of circular fashion will unfold in a way the industry has never experienced. The evening will open with a welcome from Alderman Robert Berkhout, highlighting the city’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. Then, the CEOs of the participating brands will step forward with a united statement on circular fashion, setting the tone for a bold and transformative evening. From originals to upcycled one-of-a-kindsThe show begins with a teaser of the brands’ winter/fall collections before shifting into the heart of the evening: the upcycled creations. Each duo will step on stage to share the process behind their piece ,the choices, challenges, and creative breakthroughs, before their model takes the runway to showcase the finished garment in full. This will be more than a glossy fashion show. It’s an authentic story of creation, celebrating the learnings, the experiments, and yes, even the f**k-ups, because that’s how true innovation takes shape.Meet the Duos
